API Documentation

A structured reference for integrating server management, automation, and infrastructure workflows with PattaCloud.

Build Around Your Infrastructure

API-based workflows can help automate repetitive infrastructure tasks and connect server operations with your existing tools.

Server Management

Integrate VPS-related workflows with applications, internal tools, and infrastructure management systems where supported.

Automation

Reduce repetitive operational tasks by connecting infrastructure workflows with your own automation systems.

Developer Integration

Build custom tools and integrations around the API capabilities available to your PattaCloud services.

Authentication

API authentication should be handled securely. Never expose private credentials in client-side applications or public repositories.

Request Header HTTPS
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_TOKEN

Keep API Credentials Private

Store API credentials securely on the server side, use appropriate access controls, and rotate credentials when necessary. Do not place private tokens directly inside frontend JavaScript or publicly accessible source code.

API Request Structure

A typical API integration consists of an authenticated HTTPS request followed by a structured response.

Example Request JSON
{
  "resource": "server",
  "action": "YOUR_ACTION",
  "parameters": {
    "id": "YOUR_SERVER_ID"
  }
}

HTTP Methods

API resources commonly use standard HTTP methods to describe the requested operation. Exact supported methods depend on the API endpoint being used.

GET
Retrieve information Used when retrieving information about an available resource.
POST
Create or trigger an operation Used when submitting data or initiating an operation where supported.
PUT
Update a resource Used for updating an existing resource when supported by the relevant endpoint.
DELETE
Remove a resource Used for resource deletion where the relevant API operation permits it.

Integration Workflow

A simple development workflow can help keep your integration secure, predictable, and easier to maintain.

01

Authenticate

Configure your server-side application with the required authentication credentials.

02

Send Request

Submit an HTTPS request using the method and parameters required by the selected API operation.

03

Process Response

Validate the returned status and response data before continuing with your application workflow.

04

Handle Errors

Log relevant failures and implement appropriate retry or recovery logic where applicable.

API Best Practices

Follow basic security and application design principles when integrating infrastructure APIs.

Use HTTPS

Protect API communication by using encrypted HTTPS connections for requests containing credentials or data.

Protect Tokens

Keep private API credentials on trusted server-side systems and restrict access to authorized applications.

Handle Failures

Account for network failures, invalid requests, service errors, and other conditions that may affect API operations.

API FAQ

Common questions about working with infrastructure APIs.

API endpoints should be provided through the official PattaCloud API specification when API access is available for your service. Do not use placeholder endpoints from examples as production endpoints.
Store private credentials on a secure server-side environment or protected secret-management system. Avoid embedding tokens in browser code or public repositories.
Private API credentials should not be exposed in frontend JavaScript. Use a secure backend or server-side application to communicate with protected infrastructure APIs.
Check the HTTP response status, request parameters, authentication credentials, and service availability. Log the relevant response information while avoiding sensitive credentials in logs.
